Ringling Bros. isn’t the only three-ring extravaganza that graces Miami with acrobatic and comedic wonders. Circo Hermanos Vazquez, the only 100 percent Hispanic circus to travel the U.S., is a colorful blend of circus art and street entertainment with pure Mexican flair.
The Vazquez family has been in the clown business since 1969, and they have the “magicians and elephants” game down to a science. Aldo Vazquez and Jose Alberto Vazquez Atayde represent the third and fourth generation of the Vazquez circus family, and bring along a crew of trapeze artists, exotic dancers, and animal trainers. Don’t be fooled by the lineup of traditional circus members, though. Circo Hermanos Vazquez is a distinctly Mexican experience, from its traditional wardrobes to its pulsing dances.
