Downtown Miami has been a little less caffeinated since All Day shuttered its location at 1035 N. Miami Ave. in 2023. For many, the closure felt like the end of an era for Miami’s specialty coffee scene. Known for its minimalist aesthetic, neon green signage, and beloved coffee program, the shop was a rare community anchor in a neighborhood often defined by nightclubs and construction cranes.

For one weekend only – the shop is back. Owners Camila Ramos and Chris MacLeod are returning to their original space for a pop-up on Friday, March 20, and Saturday, March 21.

Why Now?

The reunion comes as downtown Miami emerges from years of heavy construction and development. Ramos noted that the towers behind the shop have finished construction, making the area “a little less dusty and concrete splattery” than when they first closed. The timing sparked a sense of nostalgia for the founders, who are curious to see how the neighborhood has changed and how their presence fits into its new future.

“We’ve been really nostalgic about bringing it back and about what it would look like, maybe without the restaurant element and with just a coffee component and how that would feel for us and how the community would engage with it,” Ramos notes. “We’re really curious about what that’s going to look like in terms of what the future looks like for our community.”

A New Focus on Roasting at Origin

While the pop-up marks a return to the past, it also introduces a very intentional approach to sourcing that reflects the brand’s values. All Day is partnering with Azahar Coffee Roasters from Colombia for their roasted-at-origin initiative. This model directly addresses a major equity gap in the industry: while specialty coffee has grown, producers often still receive only a tiny fraction of the final retail sale.

“When coffee is roasted at origin, producers receive a more equitable share of the pie, relative to their significance in the supply chain,” Ramos explains. “And retailers get access to better coffee at better prices. It also means coffee is roasted when the green beans are at their freshest, preserving the volatile compounds that create complexity and fuller flavor. Everyone wins.”

By joining this initiative, All Day is one of the first coffee bars in the United States to offer coffee sourced through this model. Ramos believes this shift aligns perfectly with the brand’s evolution.

“As All Day prepares to explore a more sustainable version of itself, it’s fitting to partner with a roaster that’s pushing the envelope on sustainability in the economic structure of coffee,” she says. “We are proud to be one of the first coffee bars in the US to offer coffee sourced through this more sustainable and equitable model, and are excited for our Miami community to taste specialty coffee that’s sourced closer to origin than ever before.”

The Weekend Menu

The pop-up will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day with a limited menu of the shop’s most popular drinks. To handle the food element, they have neighboring Flagler Street Bakery on hand to supply the pastries.”Really, at its core, All Day has always been a coffee brand, and so we’re really wanting to again see what that feels like and see if there is room for us in the community as a coffee shop,” Ramos says.

Fans who want to stock up can pre-order bulk items on the shop’s website, including quarts of cold brew and chai, whole-bean coffee, and t-shirts. As for the future, the team is using this weekend as a litmus test. “We are going to see how this one goes and then see how we can continue to show up for our community,” Ramos says.
