Coral Springs police arrested an unemployed 28-year-old man from New York City on Sunday after a reported stalking spree that included a Nazi salute, as well as vomiting and spitting on a neighbor’s front door.

Police charged Spencer William Young with stalking and criminal mischief against a neighbor of his at an apartment complex off the Sawgrass Expressway in Coral Springs, according to an arrest affidavit. The victim described a months-long spree of agitating actions committed by Young that began in December 2025 with him vomiting on her door mat. Other actions include leaving trash at her door, scratching her car, flipping her off through her Ring doorbell camera, and performing other “strange” gestures toward the camera.

According to officers who wrote the arrest affidavit after interviewing Young at his apartment, “Spencer went on to admit he had spat on her Ring doorbell camera and flicked off the camera on different occasions because he did not like that she got a camera that faced his door. Spencer further initially advised he purposefully scratched the neighbor’s vehicle before later stating it ‘may have’ been an accident, before ultimately stating it ‘definitely’ was an accident while he exits his vehicle.”

Police found multiple scratches on the victim’s spoiler and noted a mechanic estimated the damage at $2,500. The actions seemingly escalated the day before the victim called police, February 22, when Young reportedly performed what police describe as a Hitler salute just before midnight.

The victim told police she doesn’t know Young, had never spoken to him, and doesn’t know why he targeted her. She “was so afraid of (Young) that she took her child and went to stay with a friend in Boca Raton after today’s incident,” the arrest affidavit states.

After reviewing evidence and uploading videos and photos of Young to the department’s system, police returned to talk to and arrest Young. According to police, Young “admitted he does not know (the victim) personally, and she has never done anything toward him specifically. (Young) admitted again he spit on her camera and door, admitted he threw up on her welcome mat/door, and admitted he may have broken a beer glass at her front door.”
