Jazz at the Betsy
Life is like jazz, man. You’ve got to improvise and roll with the punches, but if you’re looking for some stability, Jazz at the Betsy is always a safe bet. Every evening brings a new lineup of talented musicians to the stage, with no cover and no minimum at the bar, so you can enjoy world-class jazz whenever the mood strikes. Afrobeta at the Design District
Miami indie-electro icons Afrobeta have been putting in the work to create community through musical gatherings for years now, and every time you get the chance to see Tony Tony “Smurphio” Laurencio and Christina “Cuci” Amador do their things, you freaking take it! The duo’s blend of synth-fueled funk, Latin rhythms, colorful costumes, and musical whimsy will brighten your spirits for weeks. Jael at ZeyZey
Get you a DJ who can also play guitar, drums, and keys — or just take advantage of ZeyZey’s offer to let guests dance the night away to Moluccan-bred, Amsterdam-based DJ/producer Jael’s delightful, genre-hopping sounds for free, as long as you get to the venue before 11 p.m. More DJs are set to be announced for the evening, but with Jael’s melodic blend of UK Garage, bassy dubstep, feel-good Afrobeats, and pop favorites, there will hardly be any room left wanting more. 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. Friday, February 6, at ZeyZey Miami, 353 NE 61st St., Miami, shotgun.live.
Dana with Adhesive at Churchill’s
Life in the shadow of late-stage capitalism got you down? Thrash it out with like-minded post-punks and weirdos at Ohio-based band Dana’s headline show. Drawing on influences from garage rock and sci-fi, among other quirky sounds and approaches, Dana’s 2025 album Clean Living plays like a fizzy antacid to calm the gut gurgles of our algorithmic dystopia. Dana is joined by Swedish pop-punkers Adhesive, and they’re known to play fast and furious. Javier Garcia Band at Lincoln Road
Who has the musical daring to mixing “Como Mi Ritmo No Hay Dos” with The Doors, Eurythmics and The Rolling Stones? That could only be Javier Garcia and his talented trio. The Spanish-born multi-hyphenate musician taps into his multicultural roots (his father is Cuban and his mother is Irish) to bring a cross-generation style of that takes influences from soul, funk, rock, reggae, world and Latin rhythms. The Bossa Nova Experience at Euclid Oval Plaza
Looking for a romantic date for Valentine’s Day? Lincoln Road will come to life with the sweet sounds of Bossa Nova at the Euclid Oval plaza, with performances by Grammy-winner Diogo Brown and singer Isa Duarte. Transport yourself to Rio de Janeiro and swing those hips to tracks made famous by Sergio Mendes, Antonio Carlos Jobim and more. Oigovision Superjam at Miami Beach Bandshell
Miami has a supergroup? When members of Electric Kif, Anemoia, Lemon City Trio and Tony “Smurphio” Laur get together, hell yeah! These psychedelic, jazz-influenced, rockin’ n ‘ rollin’ groove freaks take the stage, they always bring the most elevated vibes. Together, there’s no telling what melodic mania will ensue. Come ready to dance, hoot, holler and breathe in the sea breeze.
