After hosting a pop-up at Bal Harbour Shops for her daughter’s Summer Miami Cosmetics line, Caresha Brownlee, better known as Yung Miami, the rapper and former half of the City Girls duo, is continuing an eventful holiday season rooted in both business and community. The Bal Harbour activation, held December 13 and 14, partnered Summer Miami Cosmetics with the luxury children’s boutique Couture Kids, offering a glimpse into Yung Miami’s evolution as a businesswoman while highlighting the importance of ownership and entrepreneurship within her family. The pop-up served as a meaningful moment for the artist, blending motherhood with legacy building as she helps position her daughter’s brand within one of South Florida’s most prestigious retail destinations.

That momentum now carries into her philanthropic efforts, as Yung Miami prepares to host her second annual Caresha Gives Toy Drive on Sunday, December 21. Taking place from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at 9 North State Road 7 in Plantation, Florida, the holiday event reflects her ongoing commitment to giving back to the community that raised her. Designed to support families during a season that can be financially and emotionally challenging, the toy drive is open to children from newborns through 15 years old, with children required to be present to receive gifts.

“Growing up, I know what it feels like when the holidays are heavy and families are doing their best with what they have,” says Caresha ‘Yung Miami’ Brownlee to New Times. “Caresha Gives is my way of showing love to the kids and letting parents know the community sees them. With prices going up, even a small blessing can take a big weight off a family. We want every child to leave feeling celebrated, supported, and full of joy.”

Powered by Phuse Cream, Nana’s House Behavioral Health, and SouthPromo, the Caresha Gives Toy Drive goes beyond toy distribution. Families attending can expect complimentary food, face painting, a drive-through experience, and photos with Santa, creating a festive and welcoming environment that prioritizes joy and togetherness. The event also underscores the importance of accessible community programming, offering families a safe space to celebrate the holidays while receiving tangible support.

As economic pressures continue to affect many households across South Florida, this year’s toy drive carries added significance. The initiative aims to provide not only gifts, but a sense of hope and relief during a time when resources can feel stretched thin. By bringing together sponsors, volunteers, and local families, the event demonstrates how celebrity influence can be translated into direct community impact.

Together, Yung Miami’s recent endeavors paint a broader picture of her current chapter. From nurturing a beauty brand alongside her daughter to leading a large-scale holiday giveaway, she continues to expand her influence beyond music, using her platform to uplift others while laying the groundwork for generational success. Whether through business, philanthropy, or visibility, Yung Miami remains deeply connected to her community, closing out the year by reinforcing that giving back is just as important as leveling up.
