It’s been one hell of a week for Rosalía fans in Miami. After announcing an additional show at Kaseya Center in June 2026, the Spanish alt pop superstar has now dropped the music video for “La Perla,” a standout track from her critically acclaimed 2025 album Lux. The release feels like a victory lap for an era that continues to dominate conversation, timelines, and year-end lists.

Visually, the video is striking, surreal, and deliberately unsettling. Rosalía moves through a series of jarring scenarios that feel both symbolic and confrontational. She fences in front of a stark white backdrop, ice skates in full hockey gear, strolls through a residential neighborhood wearing a chastity belt, smokes cigarettes inside a Ferrari, and walks confidently in a K9 bite suit alongside attack dogs. Each vignette feels loaded with intention, reinforcing the album’s themes of control, vulnerability, and power.

The song itself, which features a verse from Yahritza y Su Esencia, has already sparked heavy speculation among fans. Many believe “La Perla” is directed at Rosalía’s former fiancé, reggaeton superstar Rauw Alejandro. The two met in 2019, went public with their relationship in 2021, and announced their engagement in March 2023, only for it to end abruptly by July of that same year. Lyrically, the track reads as a sharp address to an unfaithful partner with a fragile ego, blending bitterness with clarity. Even the title carries weight. “La Perla” references the La Perla neighborhood in Puerto Rico, just outside of Carolina, where Rauw grew up, adding another layer to the song’s pointed narrative.

While the breakup discourse alone could fuel weeks of chisme, what has Miami fans especially excited is the growing belief that the video was filmed throughout the city. Eagle-eyed viewers quickly began pointing out locations that look unmistakably local, including Tropical Park and the Kendall Ice Arena.

The theory isn’t far-fetched, especially considering the video’s director, Stillz, who has a long history of shooting in Miami. Known for his work with artists like Bad Bunny, Lil Nas X, Mora, and others, Stillz has repeatedly used the city’s landscapes as a backdrop for some of the most visually iconic videos of the last few years.

Scroll through Rosalía’s comment section or hop onto Reddit and you’ll see fans confidently dubbing the video “La Perla de Miami,” with many claiming they immediately recognized the skating rink or surrounding neighborhoods. While there has been no official confirmation that the video was shot entirely across the 305, the mounting visual evidence makes the theory hard to ignore.

With her tour arriving in the coming months and Lux continuing to rack up praise and accolades, it’s clear this moment is far from over. Whether through cryptic visuals, subtle Miami shoutouts, or emotionally charged songwriting, expect Rosalía’s name to stay in heavy rotation well into the rest of the year.
