The Miami Heat is gearing up for its new season and, as one-too-many interviewers have pointed out to Erik Spoelstra recently, expectations for the team are low this year. But even if the action on the court isn’t much to write home about, a ticket to Kaseya Center may still be worth the price of admission — at least for the well-heeled among us.
Today, the arena unveiled the results of a $14 million renovation to its suites and premium level spaces. The remodel follows $50 million upgrades to the arena’s scoreboard, sound system, lighting, and premium seating during the summers of 2023 and 2024.
Global architect firm Populous remodeled 20 suites and 52 loges with new surfaces, fixtures, entry walls, doors, flooring, ceilings, furniture, window treatments, appliances, and HVAC equipment.
According to Jeff King, Kaseya Center’s SVP of operations and assistant general manager, it was a global effort. “The millwork was fabricated in Turkey, all of our stone came from Brazil, the leather panels came from Italy, the lights are all custom lights — top of class for arenas,” he says in a video tour of the new spaces distributed by Kaseya.
“Over the past three summers in particular, we have seen a great investment by [Heat owners] the Arison family,” he adds, including more than “$65 million in improvements to the arena, from the scoreboard to the new lighting system, retractable seating system, and now, some of the premium spaces.”
The suites have also been redesigned to increase functionality, and each one includes its own dedicated server. According to booking site SuiteHop, tickets to Kaseya Center suites can cost anywhere from $3,000 to $16,000, depending on the event.
“We are so excited to unveil a completely refreshed suite level, which is sleeker and more modern, and mirrors Miami’s unique brand of elegance and sophistication,” said Eric Woolworth, President of the Heat Group’s Business Operations in a statement.
“This project is another testament to the Arison family’s decades-long commitment of reinvesting in Kaseya Center ensuring it remains a competitive, efficient and award-winning facility at the center of our ever-evolving arts and entertainment district,” he added.
