Looking for a good deal on a use car? Turns out you’re in the right place. According to a new study from CarGurus, the Miami area is the cheapest metro area in America to buy a used car. Though, the savings aren’t exactly huge.
On average you’ll pay about 6.6 percent less than the national average here in Miami. Though, second place Cleveland pays only 5.7 percent less.
According to CBS Miami, “A CarGurus spokeswoman said factors contributing to used car prices include population density, competition between dealerships, supply, and economic conditions.”
Of course, this may be an indication of our overall economic healthy. Recession-hit cities like Cleveland, Detroit, and Akron also make the top ten.
Though, if you’re looking to sell your car, think about driving it up to Jackson, Mississippi. On average you’ll get about 9 percent more than the national average.
