Author Lauren Groff (Delicate Edible Birds, Fates and Furies) joins Patricia Engel in an intimate conversation about her latest book, Brawler: Stories. Hell’s Kitchen at the Broward Center

Jukebox musical Hell’s Kitchen uses Alicia Keys’ music to tell the story of 17-year-old Ali as she discovers herself in 1990s New York. The semi-autobiographical coming-of-age story debuted on Broadway in 2024, garnering 12 Tony nominations and winning two. Directed by Tony nominee Michael Greif with choreography by Tony nominee Camille A. Merrily We Roll Along at the Arsht Center

Tony Award-winning Merrily We Roll Along, soundtracked by Stephen Sondheim, offers an intriguing look at fame, friendship, and the cost of ambition. Told in reverse over two decades, the story traces songwriter-turned-producer Frank Shepard’s journey from Hollywood success back to his penniless youth. GroundUp Music Festival, founded by jazz fusion band Snarky Puppy, returns to the Miami Beach Bandshell for its annual weekend celebration, bringing a diverse lineup of boundary-pushing artists to two stages. Friday’s kickoff features performances by Flying Lotus, Patrice Rushen, Rickie Lee Jones, and Isaiah Sharkey. Stepping beyond traditional genre lines, the festival resists being confined to just one sound, welcoming artists from across the musical spectrum.
