Shake Shack Beef Supplier Creekstone Farms Recalls Ground Beef, Miami Not Affected

Creekstone Farms Premium Beef recalled 14,158 pounds of beef, due to possible E.coli contamination, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service.

The recalled meat was shipped to processing plants in 10 states, including Arizona, California, Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Washington. The recalled cases were marked with establishment number “EST 27” in the USDA inspection trademark.

Creekstone Farms is a supplier to many outlets and resturants including Costco and popular Miami Beach burger joint Shake Shack. South Floridians can feel free to eat Shake Shack to their heart’s content, according to Creekstone Farms Marketing Vice President, Jim Rogers.

A call to Rogers confirmed that none of the recalled beef made it to South Florida. “We do supply product to South Florida, but the recalled product is not part of it,” Rogers said.

Rogers also confirmed the popularity of Shake Shack’s burgers “Wherever Shake Shack puts a store, they’re the best burger”.
