Independent Journalism in Miami Needs You
We need to raise $10,000 by August 9 to support the reporting our community depends on. Reader support keeps us independent and is playing a larger role in funding local journalism and shaping what comes next. If you believe independent local journalism matters, make a contribution today.

This week’s Miami Herald food & wine calendar presents factual errors regarding Bollywood Nights at Indian Palate.
Bollywood Nights at Indian Palate goes down Thursday, October 29 at 2120 Salzedo Street in Coral Gables; not tonight, as the Herald reports.
That’s according to Chef/Owner Jay Mariadoss who said, “We do it the last Thursday of every month.
We have a live DJ playing Bollywood style music, large screen Bollywood movies, belly dancing, a happy hour, and a dining experience for Indian food covering 21 regional cuisines.
We are the only ones in Miami who represent the whole Indian map including Madras, Delhi, Bombay, Calcutta, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Karachi, and also Sri Lankan food.
We make a homestyle meal. Like how a mama cooks and gives to her whole family.
Last month we had a great response to Bollywood Nights. Around 350 people showed up. We are adding belly dancing this time. Every month, we’ll be adding some other new interesting theme.
Our Bollywood Night special is $4 drinks and appetizers.”
