Jeb Bush Tweets a Picture of His Gun With the Word “America”

Jeb Bush, who’s sitting in last place in national polls of all remaining major Republican candidates, just tweeted a picture of what’s assumedly his personal gun (it has his name engraved on it) with a single word, “America.”

It’s a truly bizarre tweet that underlies the fact that Bush’s campaign has been seen as pathetically bumbling in its attempts to connect with the GOP electorate, an electorate whose politics do, in large part, boil down to a particular type of protectionist patriotism and love for guns. 

The gun is apparently a new acquisition of his. In an earlier survey of candidates, the former governor indicated he did not own a firearm. 

The internet responded the only way it knows how: parodies and instant meme-ification.
