South Pointe Park’s renovation turned the southernmost tip of Miami Beach into a paradise for the thousands of strollers, joggers, bikers and dog walkers ;who enjoy the pathways, rolling hills and breathtaking views of cruise ships, jet skis and Key Biscayne (we even saw a small dolphin pod the other day).
The only thing seriously lacking? A place to get refreshment on a hot day. But now, Blissbery Yogurt has opened at a strategic location between the beach and parking lot.
Blissberry serves non-fat, low-calorie yogurt in three sizes, 4 oz. ($5), 8 oz. ($6.50), and 16 oz. ($8.50). Each comes with unlimited toppings. Flavors vary daily.
We chose a vanilla yogurt with fresh mango, blueberries and strawberries. The yogurt was tangy and not too sweet, making for a good pairing with the fruit.
Blissberry also offers a small selection of sandwiches, hot dogs and their own brand of slushies made with fruit juice and stevia instead of high-fructose corn syrup.
Owner Kim Phan said she’ll also be installing a fresh juice bar sometime in the next month and plans to open more stores in the Miami area.
