A slight morsel from this week’s Cafe review of El Scorpion:

Hearty appetites will be satisfied via the entree route, and at $17 to $20 the prices aren’t bad. Yet Scorpion works much better as taquería than restaurant. The nine tacos variations are each distinctively flavorful, the soft, thick, homemade tortilla shells appropriately greased from the griddle. The lowscale, authentic nature of the tacos is appealing, although at $3.50 the fillings should be less parsimonious.
