Karlie Tomica, the self-described “party princess” who hit Shore Club executive chef Stefano Riccioletti and then drove home drunk, has reportedly reached a plea deal with prosecutors. She’ll spend just four years in prison, followed by two years of house arrest and 15 years of probation.
Tomica, a former FIU student and bartender at Nikki Beach, was driving home on Collins Avenue in the early hours of January 29 when her car struck Riccioletti outside the Shelborne. She drove off, but a Good Samaritan called 911 and followed Tomica to her Mid-Beach apartment building, where she was ultimately arrested. Tests showed her blood alcohol level was three times over the legal limit.
She was ultimately charged with DUI manslaughter, leaving the scene of an accident with death, DUI with property damage, and resisting an officer without violence. After bailing out, she’s remained on house arrest with a GPS monitoring anklet.
According to WSVN, Tomica has agreed to the prosecutor’s plea deal. However, a judge must approve of the deal when Tomica appears in court Wednesday.

Tomica is also named in a civil lawsuit filed by Riccioletti’s widow. The suit also names Nikki Beach Hotels & Resorts, Penrod Brothers, and Nikki Beach Special Events as codefendants. The suit claims Nikki Beach let Tomica drink alcohol on the job even though she was underage.
