When it comes down to it, successful panhandling, like many things, is about the art of the sale. Good manners, a nice smile and a clever sign can go a long way in getting people to part with their pocket change. Not to infer that the homeless are here to entertain us, but, folks, you are about to meet the panhandling version “Joe Girard” of downtown Miami and his amazing transforming sign.

YouTube user Mr. Bliffy caught this guy on camera in downtown Miami with this pretty clever sign, made out of dividers from liquor shipping boxes, that switches between messages.

It may not be the kind of thing that will launch him into Ted “The Golden Voice” Williams territory, but considering how that story ended that might be for the best.
