Last week, we announced a retooling of the music policy at the King is Dead’s. Though the polished, grown-up-boho vibe continues there unabated, every Friday and Saturday night, the lounge is bringing in some live music for added flavor. (DJs will still spin in between sets). There are two scheduled sets a night, so you can come (relatively) early or leave late.
The music policy is somewhat specifically curated, though, leaning towards innovative urban sounds on Fridays, and a grab bag of fusion sounds on Saturdays. This past weekend, that meant the Big Bounce on Friday and the State Of on Saturday. The club just announced the lineup for the next couple of weeks, and here it is:
Friday, March 5: Agape featuring Nadia Harris
Saturday, March 6: Elastic Bond
Friday, March 12: Angela Laino
Saturday, March 13: Suenalo
The King is Dead, 10 NE 40th St., Miami. Doors open at 9 p.m. Age 21 and up. 305-573-3355; kingisdead.com
