Ever feel like feature films are far too long for their own good and that a short work of art could handle some cool material in a better manner? Well, you’re not alone.
The Miami Short Film Festival (MSFF) is moving into its 13th year of screening films of 20 minutes or shorter each. The festival, which takes place this Friday through December 12, also hosts monthly presentations of quality films from around the world for Miami audiences.
With screenings taking place at the Paragon Grove 13 (3015 Grand Ave., #322, Coconut Grove) and the Miami Beach Cinematheque (1130 Washington Ave., Miami Beach) and a multitude of themes being explored at both, options abound for practically anyone interested in short films.
And for those interested in filmmaking, a master class on cinematography with legendary director of photography Vittorio Storaro (Apocalypse Now, Last Tango in Paris, The Last Emperor) will be available during the festival. Tickets for screenings start at $15. Visit miamishortfilmfestival.com.
