In uncovering the sordid details of these illicit and inhumane activities, Cacho ventures into realms with similar criminal connections: drug dealing, arms smuggling, money laundering, internet pornography, and international terrorism. Aside from being an award-winning writer and journalist, she has also won praise as a crusader for the cause of human dignity, championing those who have fallen prey to these crimes.
