Each and every South Florida sports fanatic has his own pro vs. college fantasy. For example, Dave H. of Hallandale has been dreaming for 20 years about a winner-takes-all brawl pitting the 1972 Dolphins against the 1987 Canes in the old Orange Bowl. And yeah, Dave, that would be awesome. But given certain deficiencies in current time travel technology, you’re gonna have to settle for something slightly less epic, like an afternoon ballgame between the Florida Marlins and the University of Miami Hurricanes baseball team.

Be there this Wednesday when fish meet frat boys at Roger Dean Stadium in a battle of balls and bats. Marlins star Hanley Ramirez will attempt to slug a slam off one of UM’s heater hurlers. You will cheer. And, all the while, Dave will slave away on his one-man wormhole bus.
