If Ross Mathews, the hilariously outspoken, flamboyant TV personality with a distinguishably high-pitched voice, could offer us a little piece of advice, we’re pretty sure it would be this: Man up!
That’s not only a reality check but also the title of his autobiography, Man Up! Tales of My Delusional Self-Confidence, in which Mathews shamelessly spills out his entire life in 200 pages.
He explicitly opens up about absolutely everything — from his first (almost) sexual encounter with a woman, to the time in high school when he and his fellow performers in the Straight ’n’ Narrows put on an interpretive dance to “Total Eclipse of the Heart,” to his big break as Ross the Intern on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno.
In celebration of the launch of his first book, Mathews will stop in the Magic City during his Man Up! comedy tour, bringing plenty of laughs, funny stories, and (we hope) some celebrity gossip.
