Summer is in full swing, which means Miami Spice is just around the corner. The foodie favorite begins this Saturday at 7 p.m. when the Greater Miami Convention & Visitor’s Bureau hosts a culinary extravaganza at the Miami Beach Convention Center. Participating restaurants include A Fish Called Avalon, Philippe Chow, Randazzo’s Little Italy, Smith & Wollensky, Sra. Martinez, Michy’s, Chef Allen’s, BLT Steak at the Betsy, and Blue Door. There will also be cookbook signings and chef meet-and-greets. Tickets cost $50 for general admission and $75 for VIP.
Later, at 10 p.m., hit up the afterparty at Louis, where you can trade your kickoff party ticket stub for free admission and a complimentary drink. Then, Sunday through September 30, take full advantage of Miami Spice’s dining deals. For the uninitiated, this means three-course meals at deeply discounted prices — approximately $22 for lunch and $35 for dinner. Eat well; eat cheap.
