Reader support matters more than ever
We're in the final stretch of our summer campaign. Our goal is to raise $10,000 by August 9 to support the journalism our community relies on. Reader support is helping shape the future of local news.
In the past, the words blondes and books rarely went together. Well, nowadays, that just isn’t the case. With ladies such as Lauren Conrad and Chelsea Handler topping the New York Times best-seller list, it seems that even those with great hair genes (or a superb colorist) can achieve book stardom. This Tuesday at 7:30 p.m., funny lady Jenny McCarthy will bring her newest one, Love, Lust & Faking It: The Naked Truth About Sex, Lies, and True Romance, to the Epic Hotel for a event hosted by Books & Books.
Getting her start with Playboy in ’93, McCarthy has gone from blond bombshell on MTV’s Singled Out to part-time MILF to full-time writer. Now on her eighth book, she leaves no orgasm unturned with this truth-teller on everything from being Miss October to sleeping with Jim Carey. OK, we’re not sure about the last part, but we can dream, right? Do you think he talks like Ace Ventura in the sack?
