$10,000

“Sea bunny” is usually just a cute name for a sea slug, but in spring it can mean the Easter Bunny might be hiding his eggs in the ocean again. Capt. Spencer Slate — who, by the way, has never been photographed in the same room with the Easter Bunny — hosts the annual egg dive hunt at the Atlantis Dive Center. The event benefits Kids in Special Situations, which provides gifts and cheer to the area’s needy children. Check-in is 8:30 a.m. Although the hunt is free, a $60 dive charter fee still applies. Call 305-451-3020. Not a diver … yet? On Saturday, the Chesapeake Resort and Rainbow Reef (Mile Marker 83.4, Islamorada) offer an early-morning dive class that allows you to participate alongside a certified instructor during a hunt. The hunt begins at 12:30 p.m.

Sun., April 16, 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
