Before 2005, not many people knew who Bebe was, possibly because her creative, flamenco-pop-punk debut Pafuera Telarañas hadn’t yet been released in America, but most likely because she hadn’t yet received five Latin Grammy nominations. Winning for Best New Artist, this Latin singer has come a long way since she began singing in Spain in the Nineties, both with a group and as a solo vocalist. In her transition from an obscure artist to a semicelebrity, Bebe garnered a few hit singles in Spain, such as “Malo” and “Ella,” and won four Premios de la Música awards before receiving critical acclaim and Grammy nominations in the States. Now performing in Miami for the first time, Bebe will present the blend of Latin-style pop and electronica that got her noticed in the first place.
