This makes for some ace thrills — including the nifty rockers “Everybody Knows That You’re Insane” and “Little Sister” — that last well beyond the first half of the hour-long disc. Before it ends, though, Lullabies to Paralyze grinds to a halt on a smattering of tedious and rote efforts — such as the aptly titled bore “Broken Box” — that leave a nasty and synthetic aftertaste.
