If Hollywood ever reboots Dr. Seuss’s The Grinch Who Stole Christmas, the titular role of green meany will go to comedian Lewis Black. Think about it: the curmudgeonly veteran of The Daily Show sports a disposition of malcontent and vein-popping candor, but posseses a heart of gold inside. His new book, I’m Dreaming of a Black Christmas, focuses his rampant discontent on the greatest of American holidays. “Every person I know, at some point during the Christmas season, asks, ‘How’s your Christmas going?’” writes Black with his trademark vitriol. “And the reason they ask this is because a.) they want it to end and b.) if it doesn’t, they fear they may kill their family.” Rather than resorting to violence, let Black dismantle your Christmas angst at the Hard Rock Live.
