Two sisters from Miami-Dade were arrested at the same time for DUIs in the Keys on Saturday night. The catch: there was only one car involved.
According to a news release from the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, Steffany Miranda, 18, and Vanessa Miranda, 24, were driving in a Volkswagen in Big Pine Key at around 11 p.m.
A deputy noticed that the car was driving erratically, and followed the car for about seven miles. The deputy noted the car was swerving, slowing down and speeding up randomly, and braking suddenly.
When he turned on his lights, the deputy noticed the car stopped, and observed the two occupants frantically switching seats.

The deputy asked both sisters to perform field sobriety tests, which both had trouble with. The sisters Miranda also both seemed impaired and smelled of alcohol. So, since both were behind the wheel of the car at one point, the deputy popped both for DUI charges.
