Happy Hour at Root & Bone. The recently opened South Miami location of Root & Bone launches happy hour this week with specials from 4 to 7 p.m. Standouts include half-off well spirits and wines by the glass, $5 draft beers, and $8 specialty cocktails, including the Heavens to Betsy, which is made with mezcal, mint, and lime. Tiki Tuesdays at Drunken Dragon. Calling all happy-hour enthusiasts. Drunken Dragon’s popular summer event, Tiki Tuesdays, has returned for the winter. The restaurant will warm you up with seasonal cocktails, which rotate weekly based on a featured bar or liquor sponsor. The best part is all drinks are discounted. La Dozena Pop-Up at Icebox Cafe. Get a taste of Papillon Proof’s delivery-only street-taco concept, La Dozena, during a limited-time pop-up at Icebox Cafe. From Tuesday, January 15, through Sunday, January 20, sample items such as lechón carnitas tacos, bean and avocado tacos, ceviche, guacamole and chips, and more ($9 to $25). Macallan Dinner at the Rusty Pelican. Thursday, Macallan will host a whisky-pairing dinner with the Rusty Pelican’s executive chef, Jimmy Pastor. The evening will include several of the brand’s most coveted releases with complementing dishes. Expect a reception with passed bites and a Macallan-based cocktail, followed by a seated five-course dinner with various pours of the brown spirit.
