Two weeks ago Milwaukee and Florida had identical records. With the logic of Major League Baseball, that would mean we could expect a highly competitive matchup as this four-game series winds up at 7:05 tonight. Okay, that actually means blowout. But blowouts can be entertaining, especially if the Marlins are doing the blowing out. And this is entertainment, folks. Consider: The Brewers’ manager’s name is Edgar Frederick Yost. No one calls him EdFred. He goes by Ned. One of the Brews’ stars is named Bill Hall. Not Ball Hill, which is also not a suburb of Milwaukee. If the Brewers blow out, they can say they smoked Marlins, a tasty treat, especially with cold beer. Unlike earlier in the season, the Marlins are not a bad joke, or any other kind of joke. They could be contenders, they could. Tickets range from $6 to $90. Dolphin Stadium is located at 2269 Dan Marino Blvd., Miami Gardens. Call 1-877-MARLINS, or visit florida.marlins.mlb.com. Bring your own bad jokes, please. Beer available.
