Dance-punker The Juan MacLean is going on tour to promote the release of his latest effort, The Future Will Come, which was released about a week ago. The album has received fairly positive reviews from Rolling Stone and The Guardian for its electro disco-revivalist grooves and Nancy Whang’s breezy vocals. It’s a good follow-up to his less-inspired but successful debut, Less Than Human. He was last in Miami in January DJing a Scion party at the Vagabond. This time he and his full band touches at LIV at the Fontainebleau on Wednesday, May 27, as part of the Poplife-sponsored, big-budget Dirty Hairy weekly. Visit www.epoplife.com for full details.

UPDATE: We reported this as a DJ gig, but in fact The Juan MacLean will be performing live as part of his U.S. tour. Swedish DJ Alex Willner (AKA The Field) is slated to open.
