The horrible eight months in which we’ve had to refer to our football stadium as “Land Shark” in honor of a horrible Chevy Chase sketch Jimmy Buffet’s beer is just about over.
As soon as the Dolphins play their January 3 game against the Steelers. the stadium will revert back to being known as Dolphin Stadium. So the Super Bowl, Pro Bowl, and seemingly the Orange Bowl will not be tainted by Jimmy Buffet.
Of course, there’s always the possibility someone else will step in to buy the naming rights. Let’s just hope it doesn’t end up as the Sunkissed Glow by J.Lo Eau de Toilette Bowl (a.k.a. Jennifer Lopez’s toilet bowl).
