Josue Larose is perhaps one of Florida’s most interesting political figures. He’s not particularly influential or powerful, mind you. He ran for governor in 2010 and got 121 votes. But he has run for multiple offices, including three at once. He’s also formed over 600 PACs and 64 SuperPACs. He’s now under investigation for breaking over 2,000 election laws.
The weirdest thing: very few people have actually ever seen or met Josue Larose. Last night, Stephen Colbert went looking for him. This is what he found.

Of course our favorite quote is this:
“I know a lot of Joses. I have a lot of friends named Jose, but they all live in Miami. I’m sure there’s plenty of Joses in Ft. Lauderdale. I just dont have any Jose friends in Ft. Lauderdale. I have a lot of friends in Miami named Jose, not in Ft. Lauderdale.”
