Ah, Sunday. Even God rested on the seventh day, so why shouldn’t you? And while you’re resting, why not enjoy the beautiful Miami sunset and the scent of grilled meats wafting through the air? You could probably do that in your own back yard, but any good Miamian knows you can always pay someone else to do the hard work for you. That’s why Lazy Sunday, hosted by Gui Jaroschy at the Standard Spa (40 Island Ave., Miami Beach), is the perfect solution. From 4 to 9 p.m., locals and hotel guests can mingle on the bayside dock with music by DJ Keen One, $10 barbecue plates, and drinks starting at $6. With prices like those, it’s no wonder the Standard has been a perennial favorite among people who call the Magic City home.
If you want to take a dip in the pool, on the other hand, it’ll cost you. Good news is that a day pass ($125) also includes full use of the Standard’s renowned spa facilities, so you can make it a whole day of relaxation — with grilled meats included.
