Tuesdays suck.
Happy hour can make them better.
If you’re hankering for a cocktail or two estilo Broken Shaker, look no further for the same booze wisdom than South Street.
The Design District’s neo-soul-food joint (a favorite of Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union’s) has launched a weekly happy hour program that’s bound to make your Mondays (and Tuesdays, Wednesdays, etc.) far better.
You’ll be able to eat away your work problems with brand-new bar menu items such as Cajun shrimp skewers ($10), Philly cheesesteak sliders (two for $12), and bar-size traditional favorites like fried catfish fingers ($8), spicy fries ($6), grilled bourbon barbecue wings with homemade sauce ($8), and Philly soul rolls served with pepper sauce.
On to the alcohol. There’s no better way to complement soul-food bar bites and a lack of stress than $35 pitchers of the Bar Lab boys’ finest creations, including watermelon Tommys, basil Collins, gold gingers, and rum ‘n’ pineapples.
If you can’t demolish a pitcher on your own, well drinks run 7 bucks and wine by the glass costs $6.
Celebrating a promotion or the day you told your horrific boss to piss off? There’s bubbly for that. Enjoy $5 glasses or $25 bottles of prosecco.
Happy hour will run weekdays from 4 to 7 p.m. beginning this Thursday, January 17.
You never know when you might spot a Miami celeb there, so dress to the nines and leave your stress at the door.
