$10,000

Like Bridget Jones, we used to scoff at the “smug marrieds” as they held hands and gave us sympathetic looks as we stood alone at yet another wedding, posing in a sea-foam-green taffeta bridesmaid disaster. Being single sucks, and we never want to go back there. Now it’s time for you to stop crying all over the “Sunday Styles” section of the New York Times and find someone to make fun of those pretentious wedding announcements with you. In case you didn’t know, it is National Singles Week, and as lame as that sounds, it is the perfect excuse to log off of JDate and get out of the house to meet a mate the old-fashioned way. Tonight Social Miami, the weekly party at the Sagamore Hotel, will present a special Secret Crush event. When you arrive, you will be given a numbered “kiss” to wear. Throughout the night, if you think someone is totally hot, you can write down his or her number and leave a secret message. Then you can check your messages to see if someone is gaga for you. There will also be a kissing booth, performance artists, and, yes, plenty of hot singles. Visit iheartsupermarket.com to RSVP.
