In the past couple of years, DJ/producer Simon Baker has enjoyed a steady ascent to international fame through a slew of infectious releases on high-profile labels, countless global tour dates, and a firm grasp on what makes people get down on a dance floor. As a DJ on the ’90s Leeds and London club scenes, Baker honed his skills on the decks while warming up a decade’s worth of clubgoers for his future incarnation as a producer. His big break came in 2004 when the track “The Liptrick” debuted on Ralph Lawson’s esteemed 2020 Vision Recordings and ended up on compilation mixes by the likes of Damian Lazarus and Tiefschwarz.

These days, Baker is one of the most sought-after DJ/producers in the international house and techno industries, with critically acclaimed releases on top labels such as Cocoon, Get Physical, and his own imprint, Infant. As a DJ, Baker is a regular fixture at some of the world’s top electronic dance music venues, including Watergate and Panorama Bar in Berlin, Fabric in London, and Space in Ibiza, though his meanderings also take him across Australia, Asia, and the Americas.
