In March, Short Order reported that although Myles Chefetz’s Nemo had closed, plans were in the works to turn the space into Prime Fish.
In an email to Short Order, Chefetz said, “Nemo was my first Miami restaurant and after 15 years I’m excited to be developing a new concept in that space. In keeping with the Prime brand, we are looking forward to introducing Prime Fish next season.”
We were keeping our fingers crossed for a sign when we passed 100 Collins Ave. There was a sign, but it wasn’t the one we were hoping for. What we saw were two “Restaurant for Lease” signs, one for Nemo and one for Chefetz’s adjacent eatery Shoji Sushi, which has also closed.
A call to the realtor listed on the sign confirmed that both the former Shoji Sushi and Nemo spaces were available for long-term leases. A call to Myles Restaurant Group’s PR firm hasn’t been returned yet.

We’re not sure if Prime Fish is still in the works, but if it is, it will be at a different location.
