Nowadays a lunchtime martini drinker seems more silly than suave, conjuring those cocktail napkins that feature witticisms such as “Tee many martoonis!” But Badrutt’s Place wishes to erase this image from the public consciousness by bringing back the classic three-martini lunch.
Executives are again doing business against a backdrop of stirrers clinking against conical glasses. Those of us who aren’t power players can rest easy knowing our financial fate is being decided over salmon tartare and ’tinis. Kick back with a few and watch as your future is shaped by vermouth and booze at Badrutt’s Place, 1250 S. Miami Ave., Miami. The $40 three-martini lunch includes a Mediterranean brasserie three-course meal and is served Monday through Friday 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.
