Tod’s rose to the upper echelons of the shoe kingdom with their pebble-soled driving shoe that debuted in the 70s. The Italian luxury brand has since strayed past loafers and become an accessories powerhouse – period – including the latest line; the G-Bag and JP loafer collections, as well as handbags, luggage, and exclusive ready-to-wear line designed by Tod’s creative director, Derek Lam. Tonight, each time you purchase one (or an armful) of the boutique’s Italian luxury wares a portion of the proceeds will benefit the Bass Museum of Art. Not only because the Bass is a cultural powerhouse which has fed the community with culture since 1963, also to celebrate Tod’s new location in the tony Bal Harbour shops. Because, you know, real estate is something to kick up one’s heels about. The shopping, cocktails, and hors d’oeuvres roll from 7 to 9 p.m.
