More rums than Johnny Depp could shake a cutlass at (more than 130-plus at last count), plus tastings, seminars, cocktail competitions, dinners, and plenty of VIP parties are all on the menu at the largest collection of rums (and rummies) in the Western Hemisphere: the annual Rum Renaissance at Miami Beach’s Deauville Beach Resort. It began Monday, April 25, and continues through Sunday, May 1, culminating in the Grand Tasting from 2 to 8 p.m. Saturday, April 30, and Sunday. And avast, ye landlubbers. Or something like that.
