They say the two best days in the life of a boater are the day he buys his boat and the day he sells it. If that’s true, plenty of salty dogs will have good days at the Miami Marine Flea Market beginning Saturday at 9 a.m. on Watson Island. There will be a boatload of, well, pre-owned boats for sale during the weekend, as well as just about anything a seafarer could hope for. More than 100 vendors of nautical accessories and services will set up booths for attendees to peruse. The vendor lineup includes a mix of new and used products, including manufacturers looking to sell out-of-date lines of rods, tackle, and other equipment, and new-product dealers hoping to chum the waters ahead of the summer marine season. As well as the obvious boating and fishing supplies, there will be furniture, décor, apparel, antiques, and other nautical-themed goods. And it’s a flea market, so get ready to haggle. Everyone from yacht dealers to tackle peddlers will be working for the best price.
