Chai or Earl Grey? Sugar or Splenda? Milk or honey? Milk and honey? Choosing the elements of the perfect cup of tea can be a bit daunting. In a perfect world, the spot-on spot of tea would come in a mesh bag available in a grocery store near you. In the real world, there is no such thing. But Amate Tea Lounge is just the place to taste, test, and find the ideal fusion of leaves, teacups, and scones. After whiling away an afternoon in the tiki-oasis tearoom, or outside in the bamboo gardens, sipping variations like nutty chocolate delight, coconut truffle, infused azucar, or Marrakesh mint, you might be tempted to launch the Miami tea revolution. This Buddhist tea lounge is a spot not only for tea, but also for culture, with poetry readings, book clubs, meditation, yoga, and reiki. The lounge is open from 4:00 to 11:00 p.m. on weekdays, and 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. on weekends.
Starts: March 7. Daily, 2007
