Forget the Halloween costume; put on your Florida Panthers jersey and celebrate with some exciting professional hockey. This will be the first meeting in this young NHL season between the Panthers and their visiting division rivals, the Carolina Hurricanes.
Be a witness to Panthers captain Olli Jokinen’s pursuit to be atop the team record book in nearly every offensive category in the club’s 15-year history. Jokinen was acquired from the New York Islanders in 2000, and earlier this month he became the franchise’s points leader as he leaped over longtime Panther Scott Mellanby.
The puck drops at 7:30 p.m. at the BankAtlantic Center, 2555 Panther Pkwy., Sunrise. Tickets start at $17; get ’em by calling 954-835-8000 or visiting panthers.nhl.com.
