Pockets still aching from your holiday shopping? After paying for all of those gifts for family and friends, your bank account might be looking anemic, but still, why shouldn’t you be in line for a belated holiday treat? At the Miami Beach Garden Club’s second annual Taste of the Garden, this evening from 6:30 to 9:30, some of the finest fare South Beach has to offer will be there for the binging.

Relax in the lush and luxurious botanical gardens, sip fine wine, and participate in an auction as you sample food from some of the area’s best restaurants, including Uva, Jason’s at the Harrison, Ishq, and Mr. Chu’s Hong Kong Cuisine. Live the high life while contributing to Miami Beach Botanical Garden. Tickets cost $45. Call 305-673-4166 to make reservations, and visit www.mbgarden.org.

Wed., Jan. 30, 6:30-9:30 p.m., 2008
