The biggest concern for the Miami Heat is not whether this season is going to end up in the proverbial toilet — it is. It’s whether free-agent-to-be Dwyane Wade will go all Roberto Duran on our asses; declare, “No mas!”; and bolt for another team. Outside of D-Wade, the roster is a Frankenstein’s monster-like mashup of expiring contracts. But despite the team’s recent downward spiral, team owner Mickey Arison and team president Pat Riley remain confident that Wade will re-sign with the Heat this summer. As it stands, Miami has the best chance to keep Wade while landing another star player. So, no worries. That is until the Bulls offer Wade a gazillion dollars and the keys to his very own hovercraft. Let’s hope not.
The Heat takes on the San Antonio Spurs this Tuesday.
