Maybe you’ve heard about Misshapes, the trendsetting DJ collective from NYC that created a culture including the city’s most infamous punk rockers, celebrities, models, and downtown kids. Geordon Nicol, Leigh Lezark, and Greg Krelenstein launched their über-cool weekly party to fill a void. In the process, they put their own awesome stamp on the Big Apple’s nightlife. “We originally started Misshapes for fun … but we didn’t expect this type of success,” says Nicol. Pretty soon the chic and spontaneous portraits of partygoers at the group’s Saturday-night soirees became as much of an attraction as the hot music. And now the world can get a taste anytime, anywhere with Misshapes Book.
The group has collected thousands of pics over the years, and figured it would be a waste to not share them with the world. “We had to do something fun. There are such great photos of really fun people with really great style,” Nicol beams. Slide down to the Pawn Shop tonight to get your copy and hang with the cool kids.
