Do you hear that? It’s the sound of dongs flapping unencumbered; flapping for freedom; flapping for strip club nudity equality.
Swinging Richard, the slyly named male strip club, has finally won its fight against the City of North Miami. Now, their beefcake dancers will be allowed to gyrate sans g-string.
North Miami Beach has had anti-nudity laws in place since 1994 that prohibited the sale of alcohol in the same premise of all-nude dancing. The problem was that the city wasn’t enforcing the law against two straight clubs while still targeting Swinging Richards.
Because Swinging Richards caters to a gay male crowd, the club claimed they were being singled out and hence filed a lawsuit.
Now the City Council has decided to put the matter to rest. According to South Florida Gay News, Swinging Richards and two straight strip clubs, Dean’s Gold and G5, will be allowed to let their dancers shake it while nude as the day they were born.
“I appreciate the city recognizing that we males have the right to dance nude also,” Swinging Richard owner CB Jones told SFGN.
