The Olympics are here! The Olympics are here! And with them comes our favorite spectacle of sport: the high dive. There are so many things to love — the poetry of movement, the incredible show of physical skill. And let’s not forget hot dudes in Speedos — lots of them, piking and tucking and somersaulting for our visual pleasure. Normally we get to drink in the spectacle only through our TV sets. But thanks to Miami Seaquarium’s Splashtacular Summer celebration, we can see performances by the All American High Dive Team, live and in the sizzling-hot flesh. Oooh, baby, baby.

The acrobatic show is at turns amazing and comical. Pro divers show off their Olympic diving skillz by performing 75-foot plunges into just eight feet of water in a clear-sided pool, while “hilarious comedic antics” keep the crowd entertained between dives. Hey, it’ll give the kiddies something to giggle about while you get your drool on. The show’s final performance will take place Sunday, so this is your second-to-last chance to catch the splash. It’s going down at 11:15, 1:30, and 3:45 p.m. Saturday at Miami Seaquarium. General admission is $35.95, $26.95 for kids. Did we mention the eight-dollar parking fee? Yeah. That too. If you’ve ever learned something new, stayed informed, or felt more connected because of New Times, now’s the time to give back.
