This Halloween, you may benefit greatly from one of the many therapeutic disciplines available. This Halloween, you can acknowledge — and “make friends with” — all the demons sneaking around your subconscious. Which of these hypothetical settings seems most frightening to you: (A) The dark and swampy lands of old-time Baton Rouge, teeming with sadistic rituals, witches, and priests. (B) The house you grew up in. (C) A quarantined insane asylum where the mutinous residents have taken over and are eating everyone, including one another. (D) Your own imagination. (E) All of the above. If you answered E, you actually prefer to be scared shitless, but still head to Fright Nights at the South Florida Fairgrounds to confront those demons. There, you’ll encounter more than 16,000 square feet of haunted houses — including three themed haunts that will bring to life all the above scenarios — as well as rides, games, food, and prizes. A visit to Fright Nights may be just the treatment you need.
